*How Commissioned Art Works* A commission is a new and unique piece of art, created by an artist as requested by their customer. When requesting a commission, customers choose the character of their preference and may provide a general description (such as, for example, their interest in a specific costume). Other decisions (the character’s pose, the landscape is applicable, etc.) are made by the artist. Once the commission is requested and accepted by the artist, the customer is informed of the turnaround time. Each artist has a distinctive style. When commissioning a piece from an artist it’s understood the customer is looking for that style. Commissions requesting to copy / imitate other artist’s style will be rejected. *Intellectual Property* Ariel Olivetti retains full copyright for the art produced so customers may not distribute, reproduce or otherwise profit from the artwork (beyond the eventual resale of the original artwork), unless the artist provides express permission, or as agreed upon prior to the acceptance of the commission. Intellectual property over characters, costumes, etc. belong to the respective copyright holders. By formally requesting a commission, customers consent to these Terms of Service.
